I kept dipping the steel in water to keep it cool but my grinder hardly removed any material at all. I also have a hand grinder but didn't know if that would heat the steel too much. Once it starts to color change in the grind spot, thats getting it too hot? Thanks for any tips of suggestions you could pass along. A friend and myself are in the process of building two Model ofGatling Guns. We have spent a small fortune on supposely original prints for Gatling Guns. They are a farce to work with, every set we bought were incomplete, missing pages etc. The prints only show one view, very difficult to interpet with sketchy dimensions. The guy who sold us the castings sent us castings that were not even for that Model Gun and they could not be modified to work with what we had.

We had to get the right castings from another source.Further claims by lawmakers that the printed guns will be wielded by terrorists and criminals have fueled a rather heated debate.
